The point being that just about every album of his has some songs I don't find all that funny, so, the fact that Skipper Dan isn't that funny to me is no surprise.

fiogf49gjkf0d I disagree about "Genius In France." Sometimes the humor is more in the music than in the lyrics. It's such a dead-on Zappa style parody, it is funny! But that's just me.

fiogf49gjkf0d Just because it's not funny doesn't mean that it sucks. I just happen to like most of the songs on your list. I find them amusing rather than boring. Skipper Dan is one of those not funny songs that make everybody think about what they aspired to be and worked hard for but ended up doing something else in life.
