Topic: Attention Audacity Users! HALP!!!!

fiogf49gjkf0d Audacity has been doing something of late that is extremely annoying, and presently, extremely harmful.
After I have been working with a group of sound tracks for a while, one or more of the tracks will suddenly stop producing sound. The track clearly shows that the sound is there, but it cannot be played. Silence is produced.
If I do a cut and paste of the entire track onto a new track, the new track will show silence.
If I output the defective track as a wav, I get a silent wav.
Which means, I could spend hours and hours and hours working on a song, only to have to start completely over!!
And with me having the flu, there is no way I can sing right now.
Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a solution?
Yes, I went to the Audacity website, and attempted to register for the forum there. Six hours later, I am STILL awaiting the authentication email. Yes, I have already requested another authentication email be sent. That was two hours ago. Yes, I checked my spam folder. Nothing.
ARGH!!! HELP!!!!

fiogf49gjkf0d Ok, trying to do some research on this. The only thing I've found so far is if you moved the file or renamed it after ripping it from a CD. I will continue to look around.
