This song was banned from the BBC in 1962 for supposed sexual content. What nonsense!!! (goetzrbrt5)

Conversely, Elvis Presley was said to have claimed that "Monster Mash" was the "dumbest" song he'd ever heard (go figure)! (sav-man)

Boris Karloff (whom Pickett was imitating) reportedly loved and was flattered by this song. (sav-man)
