Song Lyrics: |
Yeah! Yeah!
Went down to the bar last night, Had a little much to drink. I slammed 90 beers and then got in a fight, They almost put me in the clink.
I asked this woman to drive me home, But she takes me over to her place. My body begins to feel like foam, My mind is in outer space, 'Cause I got a hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hango-o-o-o-over!
She sets me down upon her couch, Tells me it's gonna be okay. But the whole damned house is spinning, I must be in The Milky Way!
She gives me a cup of coffee, But I can never stand that stuff! Drinkin' it, it tastes like toffee; I should never live this rough. But I got a hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hango-o-o-o-over!
She picks me up to the bedroom, Then she turns out the light. She puts on a negligee and fancy perfume, Maybe this'll be a good night!
She starts to feel my body, And do all that sexy stuff. But excuse me, girl, before we go on... Uh..I gotta cough!
(synthesized coughing)
I never coughed like that before!
Hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hangover! Hang-hang-hang-hang-hango-o-o-o-over!
It's anybody's guess what happened next, I can't remember a single thing. For how in the hell did I wind up here, Hangin' on this tire swing?
I'll never get this drunk again, Especially when I lost that dame. I can't remember her address, Her phone number, even her name!
(synthesized barfing) Barf it up now. Barf it up now.
I'll never get this drunk again, Especially when I lost that dame. I can't remember her address, For that matter, even her name!
(synthesized barfing to the tune of Jingle Bells)
I'll won't get drunk again, 'cause I don't feel too good. I don't feel too good. I don't feel too good. I don't feel... (AH3RD) |

fiogf49gjkf0d Man-oh-man. The first time I heard this song (Dr Demento, 1989, on WZEW 92 FM in Mobile, AL) was sadly the time I had my very first hangover. With the help of two friends, and with funds secured by the resale of several college textbooks, I proceeded to drink Boone's Farm, tequila, vodka, and whiskey. The next day, being a Sunday, I was the sickest I had ever been ever before and ever since...
Too ill to sleep, I stayed up to listen to Dr. Demento at midnight. The Good Doctor played THIS song, and I have to say that never before have I so totally grokked a song. If my hangover-blighted soul could have sung its torment to the cold, uncaring stars, THIS song is what would have reverberated through the vaults of space and time...
And, I might add, though I HAVE been drunk since that ill-aspected weekend of yore, I have NEVER been THAT drunk again. Ever. Nor have I ever touched tequila again. ;)
