That's a good list...

It's time to start thinking about this tribute show again. I put it off and put it off - and while this was going on, everyone started dying all at once...again. This solved the problem of who would be the subjects of this show - all the recently dead people would.

After Wayne makes and posts MMS-156, this show is scheduled to be next. So just request a song or two from someone on this list or add to the list if it missed someone and I'll put a show together from that. A daunting task that may require putting it off again, but it'll get made eventually.

...and we've done a Jimmy Castor tribute already. And I'd better add Dick Clark to this list...There, done.

Goofy Gary:

Mr. Arrgolus,

Nice idea of you to do a tribute show.

Since my memory also sucks, I checked out the Dead People Server. Here are some names that I think dementia listeners might be interested in:

Donna Summer -- disco queen
Donald “Duck” Dunn -- musician
Maurice Sendak -- children's book writer
Adam Yauch -- MCA of Beastie Boys
Greg Ham -- of Men At Work
Dick Clark -- media mogul
Etta James (singer) -- best known for the classic "At Last."
Dick Tufeld (voice) – Voice of the Robot in Lost in Space "Danger, danger Will Robinson!"
Robert Hegyes (actor) -- Epstein on Welcome Back Kotter
Don Cornelius (producer/host) – Host of Soul Train.
Nello Ferrara - Invented Lemonhead and Atomic FireBall candies.

Stavro Arrgolus:

The established format won't hold for this show. So many entertainers have died of late that this tribute show will now be for all for them. Depending on how many songs I can find for each.

Since my memory is shot to hell, what I need from you is a list of every one of the recent deaths without exception so I can have songs for them all on this show.

Just list them here. I'll do the rest.

Yeah, sorry about the delays everyone. Last weekend got just a little out of hand and I ran out of time. I'm also in Sturbridge, MA this coming weekend to present at a conference so no shows until 3/24 and 3/25.

I'm also out of town 4/21-4/29 so no shows those weekends either.

It's just a break, not a long hiatus like last year.

Going to move up this tribute show a couple of weeks to MMS-15X because of all the recent losses. Provided I don't die first - a distinct possibility. Wayne would have to start making his own shows again, I imagine.

Just remind a forgetful old fart of everyone lost recently and what you'd like to hear of theirs on the tribute show.

Geoff Cooper, a.k.a. "Dr. Mabuse, d.o.a." , who did pass away 11/28/2011, part of The Roto Rooter Good Time Christmas Band could use a tribute section. One I like is Buick LeSabre Dance, The.

We lost a lot of people at once last week, so in addition to the 2 artists who are to be featured, there may be more tribute songs here and there.

I'm told TMMS this weekend is unlikely, so this show won't come up for a while. I'll just make the podcast this week.

Meanwhile, I'm blanking on who should be featured in this show that have enough good songs to fill two segments. I've tried a few, but each can manage just one segment. Or I'm too damn picky.

So I'll just leave this here for when the time comes to make this show.
