General |
Electronics, Ham radio, Record collecting, Commercial Voice-Over (I have the "Mr. Announcer Guy" voice, and I use it for profit!) UPDATE 2018: Getting back into Hot-Rods and custom cars. ...old high school past-time. |
Music |
Comedy, Blues, Rock, Pop, Country, Rockabilly, and just about everything else.
I have a very eclectic, and rather large record collection... at last count, (updated 2012) over 9,000 LPs; 1,500 CDs, 16,500+ 45s, 400 78s, 2,500 Cassettes, and over 3,700 8-Tracks! (8-track collection is for sale. - Bring a cargo van, or box truck.)UPDATE 2018:8-tracks sold. only 300 favorites left. |
Movies |
J-Men Forever (Proctor & Bergman)
Animal House, Hollywood Knights, Back To School, other comedies with classic cars & parties |
Television |
I work with TV for a living, so I don't watch it much at home. When I do watch some, it is usually the History Channel. I like Pawn Stars, Those Iowa picker guys, and Rick's Restoration in 'Vegas. Sometimes, I watch Guy Fieri on the Food Network. The major networks all suck, and get zero percent of my time. UPDATE 2018: I have started watching a lot of car shows on Velocity Channel |
Books |
I read technical manuals. Fiction is not entertaining to me. |
Heroes |
Robert Orban, Frank Foti, Mike Dorrough, and other GODS of broadcast audio. ALSO, the "Voice of God", Don LaFontaine (R.I.P.)(a.k.a. The Movie Trailer Guy) and other great voice-over people like Shadoe Stevens, Rick Dees, Dave Foxx, Jane Barbe (R.I.P.)(A.K.A. The Time Lady at the Phone Company) and Susan Berkley (a.k.a. The OTHER Phone Company Lady - "Thank you for using AT&T") |
