fiogf49gjkf0d I started listening to Dr. Demento in 9th grade and the year was 1980. This song was always one of my favorites. It gave me the nickname "Wildman" which I proudly had on my nametag at A&P and Hess, because my name is Larry Fisher.

|
fiogf49gjkf0d I had the song on cassette tape from The Dr. Demento show on "little bit of heaven, ninety-four point seven, K-M-E-T, tweddly-dee." Obviously my tape player was loud enough that my mother thought that there was a drunk man singing outside! I love you Wildman Fischer!! I'll always love you Wildman Fischer!

fiogf49gjkf0d I must have thought this was pretty funny at the time, although I'm not exactly sure why. This guy, Wild Man Fisher, just shouted throughout the entire recording things like, "My name is Larry, I have a girlfriend, her name is ..." Yet, at the time, 1979, I was just a kid and something like that was so different coming from a pretty boring AM/FM radio dial. It's one of the big reason why I became (and still am) a fan of Dr. Demento.
