Christ! It's the 'Funky Butts' thing all over again!

Even though this was an entirely justified merge, things exploded anyway.

Maybe you see why I try to avoid merging artists when I don't have to...although I would have done this merge if I had seen it before anyway.

I can't believe this is happening again. Here's hoping you'll fix this before we post any other artist that is listed as anonymous and avoid a situation like this... again!

Ok, I at least know what (some) of the problem is.

Unlike the Funky Butts mess, this mess replaces album track artists that don't match up with the main album artist and substitute it with 'Schoolhouse Rock'. Among other things...but that's the big one. Wayne will have to sort this out.

The Funky Butts debacle changed songs with no artist to The Funky Butts". Even my show's segment titles were credited to them. This one changes artists that don't match the album artist perfectly to "Schoolhouse Rock".

Since I'm no programmer, I can only guess that this is the same problem with different parameters & can be fixed in a similar way...I hope.

Before I forget again, it needs to be mentioned that John Pinette's estate lawyers gave Wayne crap about his pages here and they were summarily removed. DO NOT re-add Pinette's pages or use his material in your shows.

Well that just sucks. I really liked his stand-up comedy.

FYI - His lawyers haven't taken down any of the videos on YouTube yet.

This is likely because they aren't stupid enough to take on a massive corporation (so many vids from so many sources; it'd take quite a while to get them all), but we're a small operation that's far easier to harass.

Sort of like how the Chinese/Russians practiced hacking & spamming this site before attacking the government. We were just practice for their hackers. Ever notice how they don't bother us anymore? They've moved on to bigger things now that their hackers used us to 'get good'.

I cleaned up the list using a backup of the database, but I see a few My Little Pony songs that will need to be fixed manually (must have been new since the backup).

Good. This mess has gone from impossible to improbable. All that's needed to sort out the rest are the actual artists whose songs/albums have been displaced.

It stands to reason that I won't know who they are as the brony thing isn't well known to my generation. But we know who is familiar with it, don't we?

Just tell me who made what and this can be sorted out in short order.
