Yeah, that was me again - I forgot to move the pointers over to the 64k files. You see, that I do it edit the 128k XML file, then copy those edits over to the 64k file - I just have to remember to change the file size and bitrate - which I forgot to do!

Sorry!

--- soweird
My pod catcher, JUICE, is set to grab the 64k files, but what I am getting is the 128k files. This happened one other time also.

Any ideas as to why ??

Is there still time for another request?

How about "Merry Christmas From The Family"
by Robert Earl Keen?

This song really paints a picture! It's at the top of the list of my favorite demented Christmas songs.

Episode 58 is going to be late (maybe tomorrow evening). I'm at a client's office (where I've been all day <argh>) and will be here at least a couple more hours. So, I can't wrap up the show tonight.

I'll get it posted ASAP though!

Reminder - Voting closes on Wednesday for the final Christmas show - so get your requests in now!

OK ... I'm going to request a few of my creations. These are my other two Christmas songs, and they are not as well-known as "I Want A Blow-Up Doll For Christmas".

"Christmas Tails" by Buzzy Bottoms
www.nworbcire.com/knowtalent/Christmas_Tails.mp3

"Funny Santa Claus" by Roscoe Aardvark
www.nworbcire.com/knowtalent/Funny_Santa_Claus.mp3

The first one is a "fart song" that is a Christmas medley, and the second one may be considered to be politically incorrect by some people, but it's still funny.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I second "I Got A Boner For Christmas"...Hope Wayne can play it!......P

--- entrynotfound

Alrighty here's a couple new Christmas tunes for 2006:
Heavy Metal Christmas - Twisted Sister
(Twisted Sister has released A Twisted Christmas cd this year! This track is a 12 Days Of Xmas parody that clocks in at 5:14. If you wanted something shorter maybe I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus at 3:39 may be a better choice.)
Jingle Bells - Richard Cheese
A great choice off the Silent Nightclub album.

How about a couple of songs celebrating Christmas and the male member:
I've Got A Boner For Christmas - Nerf Herder
(From My E.P. - Nerf Herder is Parry Gripp's original band)
Christmas Time For My Penis - The Vandals
(From Christmas With The Vandals)

What about some hip Xmas tunes:
'Zat You Santa Claus - Brian Setzer Orchestra
I Am Santa Claus - Bob Rivers

Finally, I see one of my old favorites hasn't made the Mad Music Show Yet:
I'm Walking Backwards For Christmas - The Goons

Great bouncing icebergs!! I got SIX requests in a single show. Thanks, Cap'n! That's got to be some kind of record. Or maybe it had more to do with me being a request hog. Perhaps the 'ask and you shall receive' factor was involved, also. Whatever works, I suppose.

All right, so I'm a request hog. Xmas dementia is my favorite. Can't get enough...

Yulesville- Edd "Kookie" Byrnes
Santa Doesn't Cop Out on Dope- Martin Mull
Cashing in on Christmas- Bad News (The Young Ones)
Christmas Welders Working- Dr. Lee Tomboulian
Christmas is Revolting (And so are the Elves)- The Tuna Observatory
Satan Claus- Something Fierce

The Beatles Christmas Records from 1964 thru 1969
Green Christmas by Stan Freberg
Santa Clause & His Old Lady by Cheech & Chong
I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas by The Three Stooges
Yah, Das Ist Ein Christmas Tree by Mel Blanc
I Tan't Wait Til Quithmuth Day by Mel Blanc

Merry Christmas From The Family - Robert Earl Keen
Yuletide Rock Opera - The Polish Muslims

and, of course, I have to request my big success from the Dr. Demento show ...

I Want A Blow-Up Doll For Christmas - Arnie Aardvark

P.S. Tim - I really enjoyed your "I've Got You Covered" show. I'm a huge fan of what I call "music performed in a style not originally intended". I had never heard "Yuletide Rock Opera", and I kept playing it over and over again while I was cleaning up my extremely messy garage this weekend.

I'd also like to hear "Santa Jaws 1 and 2", especially 2, as it hasn't been heard on Dr. D since the 12/19/76 show (at least according to the database).

Another request: "The Chickens Are In The Chimes":

I'll third this one in whatever form you choose.
I have all six sides on 78, but there was a shortened version on the 1971 compilation album "Spike Jones is Murdering the Classics". Playing the original in its entirety would likely take up a whole segment of the show.... but it would be worth it!

Definately! It was a mission of mine to get the song in its entirety, and I did! You'll hear it, but I'm not sure which show it will be on though.

Is there any chance of hearing the original "Hooray for Santy Claus" rather that the other version you played last year?

Not without very heavy censoring!!! Shame because I really like "Hey Santa Claus"!!

BTW - I second Christmas Time In Hell

Is there any chance of hearing the original "Hooray for Santy Claus" rather that the other version you played last year? Also I would like to hear Frank Kelly's Christmas Countdown.

Are there any Kevin "Bloody" Wilson songs that can actually be played on the show? Thought it's not his funniest Christmas song, and I'd prefer "Ho, Ho, F'in Ho", maybe "Tattoo Of Santa"?

Even though it's never been one of the top Christmas hits on the Good Doctor's show (although he does play it once every few years), it's absolutely my favorite piece of Christmas dementia: "A Totally Ridiculous Twelve Days Of Christmas" by Frank Welker

However, think of some enticing tunes or rarely heard tunes in addition to the most popular.

How about Jonathan Coulton - Chiron Beta Prime

Now I think it would be great to have a Mad Music Video Show.
I like the current video that goes along with this song.

Thanks.

Cary

PS It's great to be back from all this travelling. :-)

Now that it is Thanksgiving day, we are ready to hear Christmas music both Mad and mundane.

Enter your requests here for the for December 10th, 17th, & 24 Christmas shows.
I talked to Wayne earlier in the week, and he said the last of the shows will have the most requested songs, from here and other places. Maybe if we are good madams & maders he'll have that last show ready a day early.

However, think of some enticing tunes or rarely heard tunes in addition to the most popular.
