An Evening With Wally Londo Featuring Bill Slaszo
By: George Carlin
|
|
And in Cleveland today, 27 people suffered twelve hours of continuous whiplash when a man claiming to be the Devil hijacked a roller coaster. Stavro Arrgolus

"Wally Londo" is the last of Carlin's albums that deal predominately with "hippie" themes such as drugs, the counterculture, peace, antiwar sentiments and questioning organized religion - though he never stopped questioning religion. His personal introspection having been completed with the "Occupation: Foole" LP, Carlin moves on to more generalized themes on this album. Among other things, this album sees the first appearance of the classic 'Baseball & Football' routine, one of his signature bits. Stavro Arrgolus

Reviews: |
I often think my assessment of Carlin on the artist page was a bit harsh. It's my reaction to his comedy today (2007) and not of the time albums like this were made. "Wally Londo" was Carlin at his best. Not too introspective like his earlier Little David albums and not too nasty like his stuff from the late '80s on. This album is just right and is Carlin the way he should be heard. | Stavro Arrgolus |
