    So any and all Chipmunks songs with or without Dave can go here.

    David Seville, David Seville and the Chipmunks, The Chipmunks, and Alvin and the Chipmunks should all be linked to ArtistID-1034 so that you would end up here no matter which name you searched for. Do we need another category for just "Alvin and the Chipmunks" ? It's pretty confusing already.

    This is just my opinion and Stavro and Captain Wayne may have other ideas.

    No, you've got it right. I had to do this with the Spike Jones page a while ago. There were artist pages for him with the City Slickers, Spike as a solo artist, Spike with bands using other names because of different personnel - it just went on & on.

    In the end, I solved the whole mess by merging the pages into a single 'Spike Jones' page and everything linked to that. It took a while...

    Update: No, not quite. I still used '& The City Slickers' in the artist title. I must have thought at the time that this title would be what visitors would search for. The point was that all their song pages are accounted for on one artist page now.

    The artist names on the song pages stayed the same, however. This accounted for all the artist/band differences while still allowing visitors to find his works easily by just searching for 'Spike Jones'.

    So any and all Chipmunks songs with or without Dave can go here.

    David Seville, David Seville and the Chipmunks, The Chipmunks, and Alvin and the Chipmunks should all be linked to ArtistID-1034 so that you would end up here no matter which name you searched for. Do we need another category for just "Alvin and the Chipmunks" ? It's pretty confusing already.

    This is just my opinion and Stavro and Captain Wayne may have other ideas.
