Show Facts:
There was no way I'd get away with putting together a show of actual happy tunes about happy or sappy things. It'd get old quite fast and people would tune out quickly. There were so many bouncy songs about horrors & evil that it became obvious how to make the playlist. And it was more fun this way. (Stavro Arrgolus)
You may notice this show has an inordinate number of country songs. This is because Nashville has always been a master of happy songs about horrible, nasty or just annoying things. No attempt was made to make a C&W show...because it had been done before. It all just came out that way naturally. Before I start going where Dr. Demento has gone before, I want to do shows about all the strange concepts no one has thought of featuring in a show. Then we can do the show about cats.
