The Dr. Demento Show (live on KMET) - December 31, 1972 (6p-10p)
Topic: Nifty 50 for 1972
Note: This was only broadcast in Los Angeles (KMET), as this was before the show was syndicated (which didn't happen until July, 1974). At this point, the show was four hours instead of two hours, thus a top 50 instead of a top 25. The show started in October, 1970, but this was the first year for which a countdown was done.
