Mike was born, did a bunch of stuff, and then decided he wanted to write comedy music... hey, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
In 1998 Mike began to submit his songs (which were recorded on a Talkboy recorder) to several comedy radio shows, but only one was willing to play them... The Crazy Jay Show. Host, Crazy Jay saw something that no one else did, potential (which is a nice way of saying you suck... but you might not suck forever).
In 2004 Mike released his first full length album "Smarklies", which consisted completely of the parodies Mike compiled over the previous 5 years. In early 2007 Mike released his second LP, "Komedykazi", which is half parodies and half originals. The music, the sound, and the singing have drastically improved since his first release.
Now Mike is heard on The Dr. Demento Show, Kahn Mans Comedy Corner, DFSX Radio, The Crazy Jay Show and countless others. Mike has also performed his over-the-top live show in several famous venues, such as the Cat Club, The Knitting Factory and San Diegos Comic-Con International.
One of the youngest comedians, Mike has a very promising future as a comedy musician, and has been referred to as the next Weird Al".

Reviews: |
Dino-Mike has indeed come a long way since his first CD (Smarklies). All the songs on here are hilarious, and the production is excellent. Even his vocals are top-notch now! Some of my favorite parodies include the angry-sounding "What I Do When I'm Bored" (set to BYOB by System of a Down), the cry of "Urine Trouble" and of course, "Another 1985 Parody" (and not just because he mentions my band in it--I didn't pay him to do that by the way). "Spider-Man" and "The Worst Disease" are gems as well. The original tunes are catchy as ever. My favorite is "Unattraction." "Deaf Jam" and "Film School" are a lot of fun. I have no idea what's going on in "Banter" but I can't stop laughing at it. But wait! This thing's a DUALDISC?! On it you'll get to see the hilarious music video for "Urine Trouble," an interesting interview, and a neat live performance. Definitely one of the best comedy CD's to come out this year. Buy it!

KOMEDYKAZI RULES!!!!!!!! Every song is hilarious and sounds great, plus the CD artwork is cooler than any other CD I've ever seen. This is as good as a Weird Al CD!!!!

This is a really good album (Komedykazi). It's got some nice parodies and very well written lyrics and instrumentation for the originals. I love the way the first two track parody the System of a Down album Mesmerize. It's very funny and it was worth the three year wait. If you have the cash I would definitely buy the CD.

Kids, this is the comedy music CD to END ALL COMEDY MUSIC CDs. This first time I heard this CD I was alone in my car on my way to my friend, Drew's house. I was stunned. It was amazing. I had to bring the CD in to let Drew hear. We died laughing. The next day I went over to my other friend, Matt's house (I only have two friends.) I played it for him, I played it for a dude named Randy, I played it for Hot Waffles front man, Chris Waffle, I played it for the Pizza Hut delivery guy, for the stripper and her bouncer that came over that night, everybody! It gets better every time I listen. Am I sick because I keep listening to "Smarklies". Some people say just that. But I don't care...I hope I never get well! If you don't get it the first time, listen again. LAYERS, folks! LAYERS! I'm going to go listen to it again.

Facts: |
The album title "Smarklies" is the direct translation of "Sand"... according to Mike's 3 year old cousin. (dino-mike) |
The "Smarklies" photo shoot took place in October... so Mike had a VERY difficult time finding a pail and shovel for the cover. When he did find one, the pail was neon green, therefore had to be spray painted red. (dino-mike) |
The ONLY artist Mike actually got permission to parody was Britney Spears... whom was contacted a few months before her overwhelming success in 1999. (dino-mike) |
The song "What I Do When I'm Bored" has over 22 hours or studio time (16 hours of which were for the guitars)... therefore driving the song cost to $1085.00, Mike's most expensive song by over double!!! (And Mike lost his voice for over a week after the recording of the song). (dino-mike) |
Though not really a political artist (although there are some allusions to his political views in his song "Canadian Immigrant").
Mike does strongly believe 9/11 to be an inside job. (dino-mike) |
"All The Same" was the #1 song on "The Rocking Comedy Show" in 2010... the first year the show reached 1 million downloads! (dino-mike) |
